CONTEST: Win A Camp tickets on May 31st

Posted by Gabby / May 24, 2009

Anyone who treasures the Cardigans as much as I do might want to read this. Nina Persson (former Cardigans frontwoman)'s side project, A Camp, is touring on a second album, Colonia. She will be at Les Saints on May 31s with Gentleman Reg, and Midnight Poutine has two pairs of tickets for the taking.

Here's the deal: the two people who come up with the most amazing lineup of washed-up rockstars and former teen idols will win a pair of tickets each.

The contest ends on May 28, 2009 at midnight.

The lineup I propose is:

- Opening: Keanu Reeves with his band "DogStar";

- Corey Hart does the main act;

- Tommy Lee stumbles onstage mid-song and attempts to smash a beer bottle on Corey Hart's head - is dragged offstage;

- Joey Lawrence appears during the encore and sings a heartwarming duet with Corey.

I do believe a Bumblebee Flies Anyway-era Elijah Wood, Rivers-Edge Keanu Reeves would do, and the audience looks like My So-Called Life. It's an all-ages show.

I'd like to see Eddie Murphy sing his #1 (?) hit 'Party All the Time', followed by David Cassidy. Billy Ocean will perform 'Caribbean Queen', followed by Leonard Nemoy, who will sing the whole album. And if you say he's not a teen idol, think again Sexy Spock.

Pat Boone will be there as well.

Rick Astley will perform the Encore.

I'd like to see a festival lineup where there are workshops in the day with brothers Fred and Ben Savage

The afternoon would get started with an acoustic set from Warrant

Then the crowd would jam with the remaining members of Hootie and the Blowfish (Hootie excluded)

Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton anyone?) would pick things up with a dance set to usher in the headliners

Finally nothing would close the evening at Parc Jean Drapeau like a Trio of Vegas' finest: Wayne Newton, Tom Jones, and Quebec's own Celine Dion

That would be my wish... I mean horror.

ps didn't they already have this festival?

Pure awesome:

Master of Ceremonies Vanilla Ice introducing

Tiffany and Debbie Gibson in a fresh
and touching tribute to

Marie Osmond

With late night Dance Party featuring Wham!

To be followed by
a morning time Q&A session on "What It Means to be a Teen" with Davy Jones, Donnie Osmond, and on the satellite phone, Shaun Cassidy.
