Color Me Bad | For the good

Posted by Jeff / July 31, 2008

20080802_colorbad.jpgDespite the name, "Color me Bad" promises to be an interactive coloring book exhibition for a good cause. Yeah thats right coloring book! Let me break it down on how this is going to work and be really cool at the same time. Its starts with Montreal's graffiti festival Under Pressure; who over the past 13 years invited over 30 artists to produce original artwork for the covers of their magazine and their annual event limited edition t-shirts. Now, these images will be transferred and stretched onto canvas stripped down to a basic outline: like a coloring book. This takes place at the Yves Laroche, urban gallery in Old Montreal. The gallery thrives on the showcasing of work by established and emerging underground and cutting edge graffiti, tattoo, comic, pop, illustration and surrealist artists. So this concept makes so much sense for them. It will be taking place Wednesday August 6th 2008 at Galerie d’art Yves Laroche, located at 4 Saint-Paul est. Coloring book catalogues will be for sale, with profits going to the Montreal Children’s Hospital. It runs till Aug 16th. So support a good cause while having some good old fun! color for care if you dare
