Starting September 11, one of the most eclectic local festivals is back with a bang. Les Escales Improbables, Montreal's Arts without borders fest, will be hosting a plethora of events in the Quays of the Old Port over the weekend.

On September 12, the festival will present a night of artsy fun at Hangar 16. That's right, that place right by the water where the Labyrinth used to be. Who could ask for a better spot? Soirée de Sentiers will host a mix of dance and musical acts, as well as video projections. The event will feature the National Parcs and their latest musical and cinematographic chef d'oeuvre, Timbervision.

Free activities, between 2 and 6 in the afternoon, will include classics such as aerosol art, audio performances and installations, dance, but also sculpture, in situ theater and poetry.

Les Escales Improbables, September 11, 12 and 13 2009, at Jardin Eau Canada, in front of Montreal Science Centre.
