Montreal Museums Day - May 25

Posted by Kim / May 17, 2008

20080517_museumday1.jpgNext Sunday, May 25, is Montreal Museums Day. This means that 29 of Montreal's museums are free to get into, and the city even offers a free shuttle service to bring you from museum to museum. The day begins at 9:00am and runs until 4:30pm.

This is a good opportunity to check out all those places you've walked by, but balked at the admission prices. Now, In my experience, the lines tend to be long, but if it's be a nice day out, who minds a little bit of sun? Museum bigwigs likes the Canadian Centre for Architecture, the Planetarium, the Biodôme, the MMFA and the Montréal Science Centre will be participating, but unfortunately, the Botanical Garden and Insectarium are not.

If you are vehemently opposed to lines, there's always the smaller museums, as they don't usually get as much business. Canada.com offers up some interesting choices.

For a full list of participating museums, as well as the shuttle bus routes, visit the Montreal Museums Day website.

The image says Museum Day is the 25th, as does their site.

Well! That's what I get for posting and drinking wine at the same time!

Thanks, Marc, for pointing that out. It's been fixed. :)

Sometimes it takes a bit for the changes to upload. Patience! ;)

It looks fixed on my end.
