What's New Chez Vous, LakeJane?

Watchout, I'm taking a bit of a detour with this edition of "What's New Chez Vous," leaving my local boutique loves waiting in the wings for a week to spotlight a cool local fashion blog. LakeJane.com is a Montreal style blog that is also a delicious food blog, and photography blog, and thoughtful personal blog. Whatever else she's showing us with her keen eye, the author is always also funny, humble, and honestly examining daily life. Featuring LakeJane was a reader suggestion, so don't say I never did nothing for you, you adorable hooligans. Now quiet down and be polite while this lovely lady introduces herself...
"My name is Marie-Eve and I write LakeJane.com, a daily lifestyle blog that chronicles my life in Montreal and all the things that grab my attention - everything from design and decorating to food and fashion. The blog has followed me as I've travelled overseas, planned my wedding, decorated apartments, eaten my way through Montreal and more. Although I focus a lot on small local businesses, the blog has developed an ever-growing international readership, which I'm really proud of. It's nice to see so many people interested in what we're up to here in this corner of the world."
So... What's new chez vous?
Well the biggest "news" here is the imminent arrival of our first child. We are expecting a little boy in March and have chronicled our preparations on the blog. Although I will continue to share products and perspectives on motherhood on LakeJane, I am committed to keeping the content unique and varied. I am hoping to relaunch the blog later this year to give it a fresh new look as well as introduce some new features. More specifically, I want to create a more detailed editorial calendar and feature more Montreal businesses and artists.
Local love bonus questions of love! Most memorable meal you've had recently in a restaurant in Montreal? Most successful recent clothing shopping experience in Montreal? And who else would you like to see featured in this series?
Meal?: I recently had a great meal at Tuck Shop on Notre-Dame West. I had heard mixed reviews but was pleased to find a really casual space with good service and an unpretentious menu. There was a blizzard outside and we really enjoyed some satisfying plates of food. Plus, they make a mean Shirley Temple.
Shopping?: Truthfully, the most successful shopping experience I had recently was not in some underground vintage store or high end boutique. It was at Momzelle, which manufactures very practical (and non-frumpy) maternity and nursing wear for mothers. Believe it or not, finding locally-made, stylish maternity wear is no small feat. The founder and owner is a Montrealer herself and it's a really amazing product line.
Who else?: I would love to see Charlotte Hosten. She is so talented and recently opened her own boutique on Bernard St.
