What's New Chez Vous, Les Montures?

Small, stylish, and succinct describes both the Les Montures boutique on Bernard and the owner Nicolas Hamel's interview style, but the specs speak for themselves. Carefully curated vintage designer eyewear is fun for anyone who loves fashion so it's a small, stylish thrill to get Hamel's insights on what's new at Les Montures...
"My name is Nicolas Hamel, I am the sole owner of Les Montures, North America's premier deadstock eyeglasses and sunglasses shop. Specialized in finding and distributing vintage glasses frames, Les Montures displays a rare and unique collection. Models from renowned brands and small, classic designers - many now impossible to find - are offered in store."
So... what's new chez vous?
"We just received about 100 new eyeglasses. Anything from Dior to Marcolin. We will be received a lot of classic american styles in march (brands like American Optical, Tart and Shady Character). We are working closely with a lot of new photographers, like Monsiieur and Etienne-St-Denis. Our website is being re-done and will be launch mi-march and some renovations are being made in the store."

For the local love bonus, I asked Nicolas about his most memorable recent Montreal meal and shopping experiences, and also asked who else he'd like to see featured here:
Meal?: Voro for meetings and Lawrence for brunch. Petit Italien for a date.
Shopping?: Cahier D'exercice
Who Else?: Umm tough one. Got to rep the neighbourhood with Les Etoffes, Unicorn, Michel Brisson and Epicerie PA. Outside, I am a big fan of Cahier D'exercice, Rooney, Brakeless and Espace Pepin.
What's New Chez Vous is an interview series by Risa Dickens, Yelp Montreal Community Manager and co-founder of Indyish.com. Each column will spotlight new fashions, styles and trends in town and the places local boutique owners love.
