In the spirit of classic filmmaking as well as the marvels of technology, Cinema du Parc presents two films restored from 35 mm this Friday: Metropolis (pictured right), a german film from the 1920's, said to be considered one of the most 'famous and influential of all silent films' (and will only be playing in town for one week only, so this is really the only chance to see it) as well as Killer of Sheep, a film from Charles Burnett.
If you can't see both, see Metropolis for the novelty and Killer of Sheep for the story.

Is this movie at cinema du parc anymore? Did you see it? I went only to discover that it had been postponed.

I hadn't even realized this was postponed, Unfortunately it still has not been determined when it is being postponed until, but I'll post an update when I find out.

Thanks for posting pirutces of the beautiful quilts, especially the closeups. I so envious that you were able to go to a quilt show. In Maryland, we got so much snow lately that it feels like we have been house bound forever. Things are starting to get back to normal and in some areas, I can see green life reaching for the sun. Keep up the great work on your podcasts, website and blogs!Michelle
