More Pizza Love: Miteras Pizzeria
Just in case there was a doubt in anyone’s mind, I love pizza. I would apologize for the amount of pizza reviews I do, but I have a feeling most people also love pizza. As much as I appreciate a nice, light, Italian-style thin crust pizza, my real indulgent passion is the Greek-style, thick-crusted, slathered in heavy layers of cheese kind of pizza. As such, I am always looking for the best place in town for this type of pizza. When I heard of Miteras Pizzeria, it didn’t take me long to have two of their pizza pies delivered to my house.
Though the customer service on the phone was somewhat lacking in politeness, the pizza that arrived at my door made up for it in its sheer weight alone. Two medium pizza pies have never weighed so much.
Opening the boxes was like opening a treasure chest; inside gleamed two amazing looking pizzas, cheese and toppings galore. The first I ate was the vegetarian, which was topped with tomatoes, salty sliced green olives and a few green peppers. While I usually appreciate more variety of toppings on a vegetarian pizza, I was still pleased with what I got.
I loved the amount of olives and tomatoes, and the amount of cheese was overwhelmingly good. The sauce was light – both in flavour and amount – allowing the tomatoes, olives and cheese to really stand out.
I also ordered the “meatiest” pizza they had available, which turns out to include a heart-stopping amount of meat. Layers upon layers of pepperoni buried beneath cheese, then a few green peppers and mushrooms for good measure, topped with about eight pounds of perfectly prepared strips of bacon. Drool.
And perhaps the best part? Little dough balls to keep the pizza box from sticking to all that cheese, all oily and wet from sitting in pizza grease.

Highly recommended.
and then will head straight to pizza rehab.
Since then I've visited 2 places your recommand and to be honnest I have not been disappointed. Miteras pizza does not look welcoming from outside. The place looks cheap, old and dusty and the interior needed to be refreshed. But the warm welcome and the delicious vegetarian pizza totally contrasted with the first impression. If it wasn't for you, we would have never considered them as our final option.
Here's some places i've ordered from and been very pleased. Each is one of a kind, with great sauce and heaps of cheese!
