This weekend: Winter Warmer IV, One of the City's Greatest Beer Festivals

Looking for something to do this weekend? Go check out Winter Warmer IV, offering some of the greatest craft beers in Quebec.

Winter Warmer is back for its fourth iteration in Montreal.This year it's at a brand new venue: MABRASSERIE, 2300 Holt Street, where Marc Bélanger of Broue Pub Brouhaha is developing a new brewery project.

The festival features thirty elite Quebec craft breweries and many of the beers on tap are brewed uniquely for this event. Among many others, there will be Dominus Vobiscum Double from Microbrasserie Charlevoix )aged in Zinfandel barrels) and Bilboquet's classic MacKroken Flower (ripened in bourbon barrels with sour cherries). They'll also be serving mulled beer and cider served on their heated terrace along with a rich assortment of hearty Gallic food (including méchoui) developed by Bière et Plaisirs' editor, Philippe Wouters.

The stage will feature live music from emerging local bands with everything from bluegrass ( Quebec Redneck Bluegrass Project) to electronic music (Qualité Motel - a project of Misteur Valaire).

Ticket's aren't cheap - $95 for a one-day pass, $165 for a two-day pass, but this festival is unlimited. This means you can try every beer on offer and eat to your heart's content.
