Finally! An end to the Parc Avenue debate. The family of Robert Bourassa does not wish to have their name mired in controversy and so everyone gets to keep their address and save face, except Tremblay, which is a fair and just ending to this whole debacle.

But debate continues to storm and swirl around Herouxville and the town council's resolution to impose certain "norms" that immigrants to their community must observe. As other towns in the Mauricie region propose their own debate on reasonable accomodation, Huntingdon Mayor Stephane Gendron said Herouxville and its supporters fail to grasp the value of immigration and multiculturalism. While Huntingdon leads the charge to welcome newcomers to the region, other town's in the area are going against the tide as well. Last night St. Tite refused to adopt a resolution like Herouxville. "We've never had problems with ethnics here," St. Tite Mayor Reynald Perigny said. Seven of St. Tite's neighbouring towns, representing 61 per cent of the Mekinac region have voted for Herouxville-style motions.

In music news, the Juno nominations have been announced, once again representing that classic balance of art, commerce, and the musical tastes of almost no one I know. Although big congrats to Montrealers Pierre Lapointe and Malajube!

In other music news, The Arcade Fire's firestorm of shows at the Ukranian Federation have been - surprise, surprise - phenomenal, apparently. I wouldn't know. I have to read about it in the papers. As you read this, you are already too late to line up for tickets for tonight's show. If you run to L'Oblique (corner Marie-Anne and Rivard) right now, you might have a shot at Friday's show.

If all this missed music and fierce multicultural, toponomical debate leaves you feeling a little poorly, let Today's Food Section lend a helping hand. It will keep you sharp, well grounded (er, rooted), and even improve your health. Maybe. Or just shove it all and party like the Spotted Pig crew. Dinner done right!
