Arcade Fire on SNL

Posted by Chip / February 24, 2007

jump_02.jpgA few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to go to one of five Arcade Fire shows at the Ukranian Federation. The intimate, and lively concerts were in part to help promote the upcoming release of their new album Neon Bible. If you're not happy with any of the online video of live performances you've downloaded recently, you can check out tonight's episode of Saturday Night Live. The Arcade Fire are the musical guests, and even though they've been all over the music scene the last few years, it's always fun to see a local band on a large, US Network stage. I imagine they'll be performing songs from the new album so it might be worth checking out. If you have cable (Videotron, that is), I think the channel is 52, or 652 for HD. Global carries the non-cable, Canadian feed.

Oh ya, the host is the Office's Rainn Wilson, in case you were wondering.

Am I the only one who has a slight phobia about Rainn Wilson?

He's definitely a creepy dude. And the peeping Tom sketch didn't help that cause. Though he cracked me up in the digital short.

The Arcade fire seemed in fine form. If you missed it, see Intervention here:
