Osheaga is on the cards this weekend and I feel like I've just scored the Ace... A snail like pace and lack of credit card meant I missed out on Lykke Li at Club Soda this February gone. Fortunately, she will be up there on Saturday 1st August at Jean Drapeau Park with the likes of The Roots, Jason Mraz, Girl Talk, Eagles of Death Metal, K'naan, Caracol, Elbow, Josh Ritter, La Roux... and of course Coldplay headlining... and that's just for Saturday.

Sunday 2nd has the Yeah Yeah Yeahs headlining as a last minute replacement for the Beastie Boys (who will be sorely sorely missed) along with Rufus, Arctic Monkeys (described by the organisers as "up and coming" though they're pretty vintage by now in UK terms... but anyway...) the Decemberists as well as late edition NYC based Vampire Weekend.

This 4th Edition of Osheaga has the added bonus of "Osheaga in the City" which has been running from Tuesday to Friday this week, with tomorrow night's band, Think About Life, warming us up for the weekend at Le National on St. Catherine for $15.

With weather network websites heralding blue skies and 28 degrees for Saturday, summer may finally have come to Montreal and, what a way to begin!
