Call & Response: Big Le Trouble in Little China

Posted by Luc / June 14, 2010

Call & Response is a series of Q&As with bands, artists and random people we dig that live in Montreal, visit here, or have some dubious connection to the city.

Today's Call & Response victim is local Montreal band Le Trouble. You may recognize them from your favorite podcast ever . They are apparently friends with Meatloaf, but I don't think he knows it yet. I'm not very good at classifying music types, so I'm just gonna say their music is nice to bike to. Check out their MySpace to see if you agree.

They will be playing June 15th @ Le Belmont with We Were Lovers and Vowls at 8:30pm. I recently had a chance to sit down with Le Trouble via e-mail and ask them some very in-depth questions about life and music:

Who is your favorite Canadian Artist?
A: Is Jimmy Buffet Canadian? If not, Don Cherry.

Besides family, friends, other music, and long summer nights, what influences your music the most?
A: Anger, acid reflux and Bono.

Where is the best place to listen to your music?

A: In the shower, crawled up in fetal position.

What do you love most about Montreal?
A: Bitches & bagels.

What do you love most about Poutine?
A: Brought back a sense of stability to Russia.

If your music was a famous historical figure, who would it be and why?
A: Fat Albert. Because of the wow factor.

What's the best way to spend a Million dollars in 10 minutes?
A: Buy a shitload of comfy moccasins for all my friends.

How did you spend your 16th birthday?
A: Carving pumpkins like a motherfucker.
