An Intimate Night with Krief

I love small intimate venues as they always make me feel closer to the artist playing. Last night, Patrick Krief played at Casa del Popolo and succeeded in making me feel part of his world. He surrounded himself with 4 other musicians and together they delivered a warm and personal show.

They played tracks off Krief third solo album "Hundred Thousand Pieces". Throughout the night, Krief immerged himself in each of his songs; often singing with his eyes closed which brought the crowd into his music. You could really feel the lyrics as his vocals were really clear which helped in understanding each words that he was singing. When on stage Krief showed us that he was really in his environment and one could easily feel that he was indeed at home.

Throughout his repertoire he sang his heart out. My personal favourite moment was when he sang "Tell Yourself". That song is especially super because as it progresses we can hear each instruments gently uniting into the song. The lyrics of that track are also very inspiring: " you don't have to have to be afraid, you don't have to feel this shame, you don't have to love someone, you don't have to love yourself, you just have to be a man, you don't have to keep running away." I find those lyrics to be very moving and they offer us a nice insight into what Krief was going through when he wrote them.

All in all, his captivating performance was a perfect way to warm up to the cold weather. Wishing him the best of luck on his upcoming American tour.

goddammit yes. myspace is poinslets despite the recent innovations. it's counterintuitive and quite frankly a waste of time. it's just more meaningless internet noise like the junk mail that arrives unsolicited to your mailbox & gets tossed into the bin without even a first glance.facebook isn't all that much better but it's fun, which myspace most certainly is not. and if you've a common enough name (which i do-but you ah do not) there's not a chance in hell your past will catch up with you unless you want it to.

Actually the whole cabinet and a few other people know. In AAC, Ch 45, Usher briefs the entire Cabinet, and Dir. Trajan of the FIS, Special Senior Inspector Danielle Abrioux and presumably Col. Nesbitt who altered Grosclaude’s files. I don’t know how big the Cabinet is, but it seems to be on the overly large side. So half of the Havenite team know who altered the diplomatic messages.
