Who are Sparks? If you don't know their name, you certainly have heard their influence. They started Opera Rock in the early 70s when Queen were just their opening band. They evolved electronically working with Giorgio Moroder to bring Ital-Disco to the masses in the late 70s. They continued releasing over twenty smart, weird, challenging but always catchy, genre-mangling albums for over three decades. Now, with their 2013 "Revenge Of Two Hand, One Mouth" tour, brothers Ron and Russell Mael bring their glam-dancing and theatrical keyboarding to Montreal's The National on November 1st.

Watch some videos spanning their early years, their disco era, and some of their more baroque output of the last decade:

"This Town Ain't Big Enough For The Both Of Us" (1974)

"La Dolce Vita" (1979)

"Perfume" (2006)

"I Can't Believe That You Would Fall for All the Crap in This Song" (2009)
