Pop Montreal 2013 in Photos
This year's Pop Montreal brought a grand return to the festival's hometown roots. Many of the headlining artists were Montrealers on the verge of breaking out (CTZNSHP, Technical Kidman, UN, Folly and the Hunter, Maica Mia, Wake Island) or established acts trying out fresh material (Moonface, Murray Lightburn, Patrick Watson, Little Scream, d'Eon, Colin Stetson, SUUNS). The whole week buzzed with the energy of creation and artistic actualization. It was also just a damn fine party, as always. We were out in the field soaking it all in, finding new bands, catching up with old ones, and documenting as much as possible. Take a look at photos by Mike Ghenu below.
