General failure of infrastructure bad for business

Posted by Alanah / August 25, 2007

Saint-Laurent businesses announced the first ever No Sidewalk Sale this weekend and next. La Vente Sans-Trottoirs de la Main can’t quite live up to the festival-feeling of the annual street sale, but hopefully it’ll help out the businesses who have been suffering perpetual construction for the past year. The fact that a large chunck of downtown remains closed due to structural instabilities may send a little extra business their way.

hiya,
I work at a bank on St. Laurent, and live nearby. The construction, and the problems its caused the businesses in the area... it's pretty terrible. The other day I was walking home, and saw that Mondo Fritz had closed down (sign says it's deciding whether it will re-open). Beyond disappointing. I hope the "Street Sale" this weekend helps.. at least a little bit.

You gotta love that the BBC loves you! Congrats!I'd love to see you guys do a Young Ones spoof. Casey as Vivian would crack me up! Rudy would have to get on his knees to do Mike, but he'd be spot on as Niel. Especially after hearing him as Ted. That leveas Casey to do Rik. Make it so So say we all uh..SUPER!
