Your morning news roundup for Wednesday, November 21st, 2007:

The Bouchard-Taylor roadshow rolled into Montreal yesterday evening, and its first stop was in multi-ethnic Côtes-des-Neiges. Of the 182 citizens who showed up for the forum on reasonable accommodation, many said they were hurt by some of the remarks that emerged during the commission's regional tour. The forum will move to Sherbrooke today for a total duration of 3 days, and will return to Montreal on Nov. 26.

Oh for crying out loud: Brian Mulroney realized he made a "colossal mistake" when he took $300,000 in cash from former business associate Karlheinz Schreiber, said the ex-prime minister's spokesperson yesterday. According to Luc Lavoie, Mulroney had money problems when he left office in 1993. He was the head of a young family "with certain lifestyle expectations." Lavoie also said that Mulroney was making nowhere as much money as the president of a major corporation, Iron Ore, before his political career.

More bang for your buck, more fuel for your fire: The Quebec government has tabled legislation to make gas stations justify any price increases at the pump--or pay up. Bill 41 will make it mandatory for gas stations to post the minimum gas price calculated by the Quebec Energy Board in a bid to improve transparency. The bill would also give Natural Resources Minister Claude Béchard the power to order a maximum gas price. However, an oil industry representative warned yesterday that consumers will end up paying the cost.

Too little, too late: Ottawa has ordered a review of the way the RCMP uses Taser guns following the death of a man at Vancouver International Airport on Oct. 14. Robert Dziekanski, 40, was detained for 10 hours before being shot with a Taser gun. Medical officials pronounced him dead at the scene. Public outcry followed the release of a highly publicized amateur video on Youtube. Public Safety Minister Stockwell Day has asked RCMP complaints commissioner Paul Kennedy to review the police force's policies on Taser guns, and to assess whether its officers are obeying the rules.

I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate the good work you are
doing on reporting this whole "Reasonable Accommodation"
roving "Public Consultation" haunting Québec at the moment.

There is one point I would like to bring up that has not been
addressed yet, but should. I do not have the time or patience to bring
the issue to the roving racist show, so am passing it on.

The first piece of Eurocentric art in present-day Canada, Marc
Lescarbot's 1606 Theatre of Neptune in New France, actually deals with
the topic of "Reasonable Accommodation" between the French & the First

Recent Coverage:

Other resources, including the play:

As you can see, this first piece of Eurocentric drama and literature
in Canada attempts to re-cast Native peoples as subservients in a
French milieu, and does so in a racist manner (a redface show
presented to the Mik'maq people). The question that needs to be asked
is this: Did this play set a precedent for today's ideas of
"Reasonable Accommodation", and if so what can we learn from it to
help create a future discrimination-free society?

Thanks for your consideration, and please feel free to circulate this
document. It is my hope activists, the media, and the "Commission"
will take an interest. Everyone in this debate needs to be aware its
racist cultural roots. Cheers!

You can find absolutely a lot of information like that to take on into consideration. That is an awesome level to deliver up. I offer you the ideas over as normal inspiration but obviously you can find queries such as the a single you deliver up exactly where the most important factor will be working in honest great faith. I don?t know if finest practices have emerged all around things like that, but I'm sure that your career is obviously identified like a truthful video game. Both equally boys and women experience the effect of just a moment’s enjoyment, for that rest of their life.

As you start developing a close connection with the
person he will ask or request you to get naked before the camera.
Similarly, if he's telling the world that cigars and scotch are his favourite nightcap, and you're as anti-smoking, wine-loving as
it comes, just let him know. When you are looking
to learn a new skill, what is one of the most effective learning methodologies.
