Your morning news roundup for Wednesday, July 30th, 2008:

If you play Facebook Scrabulous, you've probably noticed that it was taken off the site yesterday. Hasbro Inc., the maker of the original Scrabble, filed a lawsuit in a New York federal court last Thursday. Since its introduction on Facebook a year ago, Scrabulous was attracting 500,000 players a day. (This just in: Hasbro's site was hacked this morning. Coincidence? I think not. Don't piss off Facebook philologists.)

Nine men were arrested for public indecency in a Quebec City park. The arrests were made after complaints from the public. There's nothing too surprising about this, except that the men in question were between 56 and 74. Ewwww.

Montreal fans were delighted as 20-year old Blainville native Aleksandra Wozniak beat Chan Yung-Jan yesterday night at the Rogers Cup. Next, she faces No. 2 seed Jelena Jankovic of Serbia tonight. Wozniak is one of 2 Canadians left in the singles draw, the other being Stephanie Dubois of Laval.

The Sûreté du Québec deployed several agents and search dogs this morning in response to the disappearance of a teenager in the Nicolet region. She was last seen at 2 am this morning with a friend's father.
