May 22nd Manifencours
Nearly 250,000 people hit the streets May 22nd, marking the 100th day of the student movement. The crowd in red started over at the Quartier des Spectacles and were supposed to head east on Sherbrooke street toward Lafontaine park. Instead they moved west to downtown and then travelled east on Rene Levesque all the way to Berri. The supporters reached Lafontaine park and staged an umbrella rally as it started to rain. The demonstration continued into the evening as marchers and supporters were chanting and hitting pots and pans throughout the city. In case you missed it, here are a few photos of yesterday's protest.
