SQUIRREL%21.jpg

So, I was sitting at the kitchen table in my apartment, which is on the 4th floor of a building overlooking motherluvvin' Schwartz's on St-Laurent, when a squirrel walked in. He looked at me, then walked around the table, sniffed at nothing in particular, and then walked casually back down the stairs.

Just now.

I feel it's my duty to report this to the MP community at large: THE SQUIRRELS ARE GETTING COCKY.

Lock up yer wimmins.

I live on the 3rd floor of a 3 story walkup in St Henri, huge tree in the back that is home ot many furry creatures. So I am sitting on my toilet one day last month with the door to my balcony open (the balcony door is in the bathroom - don't ask). In walks a squirrel! He stares at me, I stare at him. He makes a quick noise of some sort (translation: thanks for letting me eat your garbage which you leave on the balcony) and casually walks back out.<p>
I thought I was alone in my belief the squirrels are getting cocky. Now I know I am not alone.

And that's what MP is all about, you know: relieving the suffering of human alienation. It's in our charter somewhere, I think.

My squirrel's been back at least twice (THAT I KNOW OF). It's not like there's a tree out there, either. He's WALKING (scampering?) up four flights of stairs. And all I've got up on my balcony are a few pots of decrepit nasturtiums. It's like having the fluffiest stalker ever.

I was harboring hope that it was just the one squirrel, but now that you've commented, I fear they're organizing.
