Tonight (Wednesday) (OK, this actually went up on what is technically Thursday), Conques Claquent, Women With Kitchen Appliances, Cian Ethrie and Monday Morning Erection play Casa del Popolo as part of the ongoing Suoni Per Il Popolo festival -- check the link for details about this great month-long event. Suon's also got P.O.W.E.R., Intercom, Nadja, Foodsoon, David Kristian and Feu Thérèse at La Sala Rossa. Also, Matt Lipscombe plays Divan Orange with Ragni.

On Thursday the Sten Sandell Trio Feat. Paal Nilssen-Love & Johan Berthling play Casa del Popolo, while Club Baby Seal and 1 Speed Bike are at Zoobizarre, The Ex and Rhythm Activism play La Sala Rossa, A Texas Funeral, Anchors For Arms, Living With Lions and Grand National rock (well, we can assume) Les Katacombes (1222 St-Laurent), and Hudon-Placard folk (I'm really trying to establish this a verb similar to "rock") Divan Orange. Also, The Nymphets and Jimi Hunt play Rockette (4479 St-Denis).

Friday's got Pilot Speed (formerly Pilate), Kill The Lights and Krief at Main Hall. United Steel Workers of Montreal, Unionist Ministers and County Boys play Divan Orange. And at the night of bands with awesome names, Ghettonuns, ttttttttttttttttttttt, Cousins of Reggae and DangerDangerMammothHunter are at Cafe L'inconditionnel (4584 Papineau).

Saturday is the night to see Pas Chic Chic, Vanishing Indoors and DJ Bartek Komorowski at Casa del Popolo, or Jérémi Mourand at Divan Orange.

On Sunday, Get Him Eat Him vie for the awesome name title at Zoobizarre, though they're dragged down a bit, name-wise, by Chris Garneau and Boo Hoo.

On Tuesday, Les Georges Leningrad and Felix Kubin play Sala.
