Like some kind of tripped-out energizer bunny, the Suoni Per Il Popolo experimental music festival just keeps going and going. Rather than list each show individually, check out the full schedule or just walk into Sala Rossa or Casa Del Popolo anytime after 8pm and you'll likely end up smack dab in the middle of something good.

Also, the Fringe festival is not just for actors any more. Pop Montreal has teamed up with the organizers to bring you the 4th annual Fringe Pop. Return them the favour by checking out a few gigs in between plays.

Ok, now back to our regular programming.

Wednesday brings you the chance to get down and dirty with some straight up rockabilly at Zoobizarre thanks to Ladyfingers and Sister Suvi. Up at Le Divan Orange, You and Me launch their latest CD at the very un-rock'n'roll hour of 5pm. Mia Verko, National Frost, and the Fury and the Mouse play L'Escogriffe while Vancouver's Collapsing Oppositesare joined by locals The Winks, The Will Austin Escape, Freelove Fenner and Chicago's Rollin Hunt at a let's-see-how-many-bands-we-cram-on-one-bill contest at Bar St. Laurent ($5).

Tomorrow, Thursday, everyone's favourite stoner band Half Baked plays Quai Des Brume with Moussette. There's also an NVC Release Party w/DJs Jordan Dare, Dave O’Brien, Deliz, Max Miles, Kevlar (live) at Saphir. If chillin' or illin' isn't up your alley, there's some heaviness going down at Le Divan Orange, with Deweare and Polipe, and at Bar Rockette with S.I.D.S. (Suddent Infant Death Syndrome) and The O-Voids (5$).

The mayhem continues on Friday as Madball, Death Before Dishonor, Outbreak, and Try To Win blast their way into Foufounes Electriques ($18). Over at Le Divan Orange Danny Twang tries to live up to his last name.

Saturday sees a wicked CD launch party at La Brique. Basically, just show up within 100 meters of DuRocher and Beaubien and you'll get to hear the brand new disc from Code Pie ($5). If you don't feel like launching CDs, Devil Said Play are at Les Saints (10$), Megasoid Vs Everybody is happening at Zoobizarre and Creature take on the crowd at Le Divan Orange. Or, get your rock on with Cmon, the Mongrels, and Cam Stewart at Petit Campus.

Sunday seems like a good day for opera. That's why Leiderwolfe will be at Le Divan Orange starting at 9:30.

On Tuesday you have one option only. Cincinnati's The Heartless Bastards, play the Green Room with The Adam Brown ($12).

Here's your Midnight Poutine Podcast:

"Smart ass"? Sir, you have besmirched my honour in a public venue. I demand satisfaction. We shall duel next Tuesday or sometime shortly afterwards. The weapons for this battle shall be newborn babies.

I bid you good day.

Actually, the drive-in listening party is June 15th, and June 16th at La Brique (6545 Durocher, Suite 402) is an actually launch. The Cd costs $10.
