The Midnight Poutine Podcast - Nov. 7-13 2007

Posted by Jer / November 7, 2007

Even though there's an ad in our very own sidebar claiming that the CBC radio 3 podcast is the most important podcast in Canada, we'd like to think our little show still has a place in the world wide blogosphere. So, inferiority complexes aside, get ready for another delightful serving of music from bands playing in and around Montreal this weekend.

But if any of you listeners happen to be Grant Lawrence or anyone else working for CBC Radio 3, please post an ad on your website saying that Midnight Poutine is perhaps the least important Canadian podcast ever, but maybe the most delicious.

And with that, here's your Midnight Poutine Podcast:

Sea Wolf - You're a Wolf
Band of Horses - Is There a Ghost
Mobius Band - Hallie
Tim Fite - Place Your Bets
My Brightest Diamond - Something of an End
The Quavers - Ride You Home
Harris Newman - Lords and Ladies
Ghislain Poirier - La Ronde
The Johnstones - Gone for a Long Time
Swift Years - Beside Me
Menomena - Wet and Rusting
Battles - Atlas

The wolf commentary was worth the price of admission.

Yeah. I'm just mad I missed the opportunity to make the same joke about band names with the word band in them. Band of Horses, Mobius Band, The Beta Band, the Band. I mean, c'mon.
