Posted by Jer / February 4, 2009

Hello February. January...we hardly knew ye. The Midnight Poutine podcast ushers in the new month in style this week. Not only do we have our usual helping of show recommendations, we're pleased as a bowl of spiked punch to bring you our first installment of In Their Own Words: The Montreal Sessions. It's a series of interviews featuring Montreal musicians produced by local audio guy Martin Simon Greizis and it's well worth your time. We get the series rolling with The National Parcs.

Each In Their Own Words segment is actually its own thing...that's part of what attracted me to it. Some are heavier on the music, others on the interviews. In general though, they all try and weave the two together.

Thanks for listening.

i've just realized how amazing timber timbre is but sadly not in time to see them live... it serves me right for not listening to the podcast more punctually!! looking forward to the plants and animals interview next week, and more good show recommendations.

Timber Timbre was a happy surprise for me too. I hadn't heard much other than several glowing reviews. I'll keep an eye out for more and put another track in a future podcast. I missed the show too, so for now, you and I will have to content ourselves with the MP review of the gig:

An excellent pdosact once again Fraser many thanks! I don't suppose you could give future advice on affiliate marketing for merchants. As a small online retailer many of the offerings from the likes of CJ and Linkshare prove to be far to costly in setting up. Can you offer any food for thought on this topic?Damon ipopwear.com
