The Midnight Poutine Podcast- Sep. 2-8, 2009

Posted by Jer / September 2, 2009

20090902ktl.jpgDid you know that Drummondville has a Poutine Festival? Neither did we. But we think it's awesome. So we talk about it this week, along with some other events happening closer to the 514 (like the crazy free M for Montreal party on the Quays). We also take a listen to Tyler Gibb's Refrain Side Project. What more could you ask for on a Wednesday? I'm just not sure.

another great podcast! and just wanted to say that i agree with your evaluation of labyrinthes; it is a good rock album, but not deserving of polaris shortlist status.

I'm so happy to have found this site. I teach first grade now but have taught kidnergarten and have been a special education teacher. I love to teach math but was a math phobic as a student. I don't want my students to think that math is impossible like I did. I have been working very hard over the last 6 years to understand and learn as much as I can about mathematics. I agree with not teaching the tricks because they don't work. Answering a question in course work about division of fractions taught me that! Every person that I asked about why could only give me the procedural answer and when I told them I know the procedure but why do you invert and multipy? That one question has opened my eyes to teaching more conceptually and using mathematical terms. You asked what was needed? Watching excellent primary teachers teach mathematical topics.

- Kim, you did an amazing job photographing our gala with Liverpool Legends at the Red Lion on the River. Your ability to shoot in difficult conditions – stage lighting, large seated audience, your photos were fabulous. I also appreciate your ability to be discreet and not bother our audience or entertainers. Thank you again for an amazing job and we look forward to hiring you again.
