It's almost December and here at Midnight Poutine headquarters, we're freaking out. Where did the year go? Why did our parents lie to us about Santa? Still, we try our best to get into the holiday spirit with a pretty Christmas carol, some jolly banter, and even a gift. Yup. We've got tickets to give away for one of this weekend's stand-out shows: Darling Ghost and Hannah Speirs at the Green Room on Saturday (courtesy of the good folks at Indie Montreal). Take a listen to the podcast for more details.

are you sure about the brian borcherdt show? i can't seem to find the event listing anywhere...and it doesn't help that the club lambi website apparently hasn't been updated since july!

Hey Laura...I just put this up on our twitter feed too:
The Brian Borcherdt show is cancelled. I got word from the press folks a few hours ago. Not sure why or what happened, but it's not happening.
Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up.

Greg - get out of bed and dig the groove! The music will cure you if it's live. Put on one of those H1N1 masks and venture out. Get well!

Thanks for the kind words, Caroline and Matt. Believe it or not I didn't have Swine Flu, but instead battled Mono for two weeks like a regular ol' teenager. I'm much better now and will return to the podcast tomorrow.

Being sick's not so bad, it's a legitimate excuse to being lazy and doing nothing productive. Plus, it's healthy to be sick sometimes.
One of my friends has swine flu and another is recovering from being hit by a car last week and she can't leave her apartment for about a month. Here's hoping you're doing better than either of them.
:)
