The Midnight Poutine Podcast - Feb. 25 - Mar. 2, 2010
Happy Birthday Blue Skies Turn Black. The local concert promoter celebrates 10 years of bringing interesting, challenging, and innovative music to Montreal this weekend with a series of free shows up at Il Motore. Even though we're marking an anniversary of our own this week (Yay Episode #150!), we're babies in this city compared to them. Our hats are off and our glasses are raised for everyone at BSTB.

I figured you'd appreciate my listening more if I commented.

It's so rare that I get to use the word "sesquicentennial" -- happy 150, and here's to 150 more.
Happy 150th! You guys are completely amazing! Discovered you a while ago and listened all the way back to podcast #1! Dedication? I think so : ) Thanks for being awesome!

hi,

found it!

sorry, happy 150th
No birthday cake on the show? Surely Greg's family could help you out?
how cool that i live in toronto and get to hear who's playing in montreal, my home town.
@Amie, that would have required my family to know what podcasting is. I very nearly made my mom's famous cookie-brownies on wednesday night but didn't have enough unsalted butter around the house. So we're good for 175 as long as my family becomes more techo-savy or I become more unsalted butter-havin'.
Hey! The iTunes feed looks broken. The last episodes aren't in it. :( Would be great if you could fix it. Thanks! :)
I'll help to get you 150! This show is great, and I can't wait to listen to another 150 episodes.

happy 150th
hey, happy 150th
I hear Greg likes pizza. A LOT. Happy 150thhhhhhhh!
BTW, you can totally make brownies with salted butter. Just don't add the salt the recipe calls for.
happy 150th!
this episode is especially good!
didn't get a chance to comment last week but thanks for reminding me on this week's edition ;)
hope you guys make it to 150 comments
all the best!
Congrats #150 Midnihgt Poutine!!!!!!
Thanks for good music all the time, checking you guys from Morioka, Japan.
Thanks so much for the continuing wave of well wishes. I can't believe we have someone listening in Japan (Shinya) and someone who listened all the way back to episode #1 (Katie). That's serious dedication. Also, this "Dwayne" individual sure knows a lot about my food preferences... I should mention to "Dwayne" that I've tried "his" salted butter trick before and ended up with intolerably salty biscuits. Anyone know exactly how much salt goes into salted butter so I can get the proportion right in the future?
Annnnyway, thanks again for all the comments!!!
The amount of salt in salted butter varies from brand to brand. I've never really had a problem with things coming out too salty. However, a simple solution to the problem would be to make large batches of, say, brownies or biscuits and share them with your friends. By doing this, you would dilute the salt content of the baking to a more palatable range. I imagine most of your friends would also enjoy fresh chocolate chip cookies. Just sayin'.
vos playlist sont parfaites!
je les attends avec impatience chaque semaine!!
Don't stop! :)
I decided to come add my contribution! Thanks for consistently awesome music action week after week.
Woohooo. We're at 30. Only 120 more comments to go and we'll be in some kind of record book.
Thanks a ton to everyone for chiming in. It really makes doing the show a lot more enjoyable.
