The Midnight Poutine Podcast- Oct 27-Nov 2, 2010

Posted by Jer / October 27, 2010

Sheezer It's a special Halloween edition of the podcast. And by special, we mean that we forget to talk about Halloween until the last 2 minutes of the show. It's also a special heatwave edition, since we forget to mention that it's almost 20 degrees outside. Luckily, we do remember to cover all the great shows happening this devilish weekend. Whatever you go and see, don't forget your loot bags.

Thanks, Greg and Jeremy, for the Podcast Nobel Prize! Means way more coming from you than from, you know, the world. I've never been compared to Obama before.

for me, halloween came early in the previous podcast [oct. 20 -26], with the books' song, "a cold freezin' night." the first time i heard it i had to lower the volume because the children's voices creeped me out. it's an aptly titled song, and it has the same chilling effect at any time of day that i listen to it.
you chose the perfect opening song! your podcast song selections have an eerie way of reflecting my past, when i first started listening to more eclectic music. benoît pioulard entered my life at roughly the same time as sleeping states, grizzly bear, and midlake, so you can imagine how wondrous their combined music sounded. i admit to buying weezer's make believe album after hearing "beverly hills," a choice i still stand by since it was a significant part of my growth in music taste. enough about me, though, since benoît, sheezer, and you people are doing all the work!
thank you for the kind mention! a pulitzer for weekly montreal podcasts has yet to exist, but i will petition hard for one.
