The Midnight Poutine Podcast - Mar. 22 - 28, 2011

Posted by Jer / March 22, 2011

Happy 200th Cue the fireworks. Drum roll please. It's the 200th episode of the Midnight Poutine Podcast. That's almost 5 years of weekly show previews, thousands of songs by artists of all stripes, and countless hours of inane banter. It's been quite a ride, Montreal (and everywhere else in the world that tunes in), and we thank you for joining us. Not much has changed since our first couple podcasts. We still don't get paid, we still don't get swag, we still don't even have groupies. What we do get is wonderfully kind feedback and comments from our listeners and that's what keeps us going. Join us for this celebratory podcast where, true to form, we do what we've always done.

HIGH FIVE! How about creating a 200 pound poutine when we get to 200 comments? Or a 200 foot diameter poutine if you're feeling generous. OR, 200 poutines per person, per year, for life if you win the lottery. Love you guys!

It's two days later and I'm still enjoying some leftover Smartfood - not to mention Adam, Ana, and dmk who agree with me on its merits.

Who wishes they had taken that half-empty bag home now, huh? Chumps.

Congrats on #200! I just discovered you around #180, but I hope to see you at 500!
Kelli / March 28, 2011 at 04:34 am
Congrats on the big 2-0-0!! I remember the first time I listened to the podcast way back in 2007. There was a blizzard and I was generally rundown and the prospect of going outside was not one I relished. I somehow stumbled upon this podcast (no idea how I found it) and I heard a voice telling me this was just the music to get me through the blizzard. And it was.
So thanks, I really appreciate this musical interlude every Wednesday, it is truly delightful.
Patrick / March 30, 2011 at 10:36 am
Happy 200th! Thank you so much for your contribution to the Montreal scene. Enjoyed many local shows as a direct result of hearing them on the podcast. Thanks for the hard work, thanks for being there week after week, thanks for being who you are, funny and informative. Looking forward to the next 200.
Joy / March 31, 2011 at 02:51 pm
Congrats on 200! Yours is my favourite podcast out of all the ones I listen to in any given week. Keep it up! It makes me feel like I'm in Montreal even when I'm not. Thanks, guys and gals!!!

david / April 5, 2011 at 05:34 pm
ever since the "snowed in" podcast from early february i've been completely addicted. you lured me in with sugary sweets and other baked goods and now i'll never leave your kitchen.

oh, yes... and the music is stupendous.

congrats on 200!
(this is my little contribution to reaching 200 comments)
Etienne / April 11, 2011 at 05:49 pm
Happy 200th! I started to listen you at the 99th episode, so now I'm waiting for the next hundred :P
I was too lazy to comment when I listened to the 200th, but you definitely deserve at least a "Hurray!" from me for all the aural pleasure you procure me ;) ... and for all the times you made me laugh while I'm working and my colleagues wondered why I laugh alone in front of my computer. I know I can always rely on you to embarrass myself!

Come on, let's do the 200 comments! We can do it, it's never too late!
Katia / April 19, 2011 at 01:10 pm
WOOT! Congrats on 200 episodes! Well 203 by now, sorry had to catch up : ) You guys are awesome, and make me sound like a musical wiz and say things like "You don't know who [insert band name here] is? Were you living under a rock?" Yeap, I'm that cool! Thanks for providing us with endless hours of listening pleasure and 'background noise' for those long work days.
Looking forward to 200 more!
Henry / April 26, 2011 at 05:09 pm
