The Midnight Poutine Podcast - Mar. 8 - 15, 2011

Posted by Jer / March 8, 2011

Karim OuelletIt's the final week of CBC Radio 3's searchlight contest for the best music website in Canada, and we're giddy beyond comprehensibility that we're still in the running. We try and record a podcast for the ages, but it ends up being just another week of ridiculous banter and great music. We talk about the ultra-cool under the snow festival and forget to talk about Shortpants Romance and their benefit show for Blue Sunshine. We also beg you one last time for votes. Tune in next week to see if we've been crowned Canada's favourite music website.

Have I been kicked out of the Midnight Poutine house band? Ouch...

I'll just have to make it up by bringing an absolutely stellar bag of chips to Episode #200.

Great podcast Fraser. Looking farrowd to the next part. I think your points about not chasing the highest commissions and concentrating on a topic you are interested in are really important ones to remember. Breaking into AM from a very specific angle that you enjoy, that's searched for, but not too competitive already, really is the only way without a lot of pre-existing PPC knowledge imho. The shelf life' of the site's content and the maintenance that will be needed is something that could be factored in a bit more by potential affiliates, before they launch into their site. The simple electrical jobs is a good example content that adds value' to the web, but can be left alone and will still be relevant 12 months down the line.

I wanted to thank you a lot more for the amazing website you have created here. It really is full of useful tips for those who are seriously interested in this particular subject, specifically this very post. Your all actually sweet and thoughtful of others in addition to the fact that reading your website posts is a superb delight in my opinion. And such a generous surprise! Dan and I will certainly have fun making use of your ideas in what we should do in a month’s time. Our collection of ideas is a kilometer long which means your tips is going to be put to fine use.
