The Midnight Poutine Podcast- Feb. 29-Mar. 5, 2012

Posted by Jer / February 29, 2012

Folly and the HunterThis is a special show. We're talking once-in-28-years kind of special. It's leap day, and since we usually record on Wednesdays, our calculations indicate the next time we'll record on Feb 29th is 2040. Amazingly, podcasts will still be referred to as "new media" then, though Siri will have replaced Greg, Amie, Theo and I as host. To celebrate this rare calendrial occasion, we've got an exclusive in-studio performance from local indie folk trio Folly and the Hunter. They share a a song from their meticulously crafted debut album, Residents, and preview another tune from their forthcoming project. All this while they help us scan the listings for what's going on this weekend.

Thanks, Michelle!I am always glad to hear from sooemne who has worked out that learning to carry out procedures without understanding is a bad idea. I teach young adult students, many of whom can't use the little math that they remember because they get it confused and don't know how to apply it in new situations.Thank you for the comment!
